What the QuickBooks integration does

Account mapping
Each BOOKAR nominal code carries an optional QuickBooks account name. Set them once and every export lands in your own chart of accounts.
Itemised invoices
Invoices export with their lines intact, so revenue is split the way you report on it rather than arriving as one lump per job.
VAT carried through
Tax treatment is set when the invoice is raised in BOOKAR, so it does not have to be decided again at import.
Export by period
Run the export for the period you are working on — weekly, monthly, or whatever your bookkeeper prefers.

Each run is recorded with its format, period and contents, so it is always clear what has already gone into QuickBooks.
Alongside the rest

Map your accounts
Add QuickBooks account names against your BOOKAR nominal codes. Where one is blank, the BOOKAR name is used.
Invoice as normal
Jobs are invoiced in BOOKAR with their lines already coded — nothing extra for the front desk to do.
Export the period
Choose QuickBooks Online as the format and the period you want to post.
Import and reconcile
Bring the file into QuickBooks and reconcile against the bank as usual.

Do supplier invoices export too?
Supplier invoice exports are currently available for Sage and Xero formats. Customer invoices are covered for QuickBooks — ask us if the purchase side matters to you and we will talk you through the options.
